FCA offers two types of summer internships:

1. Full Summer
Student Athletic Leadership Training--if you chose this option you can work for FCA in a local office for 8 weeks or more. During this time you will work with local huddles and help at local and Regional FCA Camps. The local office will help you raise financial support to pay you for your summer employment. To get information on how you can plug into a local office and learn Sports Ministry from the ground up email: emrfca@fca.org
.

2.
Student Athletic Missions (SAM)--looking for a Mission trip, associated with your love of sports and desire to learn how to impact young people for Christ? Well—you’ve found it!

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Summer Athletic Sports Ministry is just what you’ve been looking for. Combining sports and Christ the FCA “Summer  Athletic Ministry” gives you a chance to share your faith, keep active in sports and earn a salary while doing  it  in your local area!

SAM Volunteers must be college students who competed in a varsity sport while in High School and be willing to work at least two weeks (preferably three or more) during the summer for FCA. You then raise your support (just like any other missions trip—and we’ll help) and you’ll be assigned as a Huddle Leader at an FCA Sports Camp each of your weeks.

FCA will provide all the fund-raising and camp leadership training necessary and you will receive a  salary of $200 for each week of Camp you work. During the camp you will be working with a group of 8 to 10 students in the sport of your choice.  Call for a 410-974-6333 for a camp schedule and a list of sports at the camps.

This is an awesome opportunity for you to live out your faith, impact young athletes for Christ and earn some money—without having to go overseas.

Sports, Action, Pay and Jesus. Call your local office and find out how you can become a member of our SAM Team for summer 2006. Email: emrfca@fca.org and ask for a SAM application form and the phone number of the local office nearest you.
